The screen of my Fitbit ICONIC went blank a few days after downloading the latest firmware (using iOS). Tired switching it off and on a few times but remained blank

Thank you for the support. Nicole advised me to change the clock face via the app and I tried that. There was a vibration, yet no sign of it appearing on the screen. It is still a hazy light grey emptiness. Tried all the other ways you have mentioned, back and bottom button together, etc, etc. But still nothing happened. The watch is still recording my activities though, sync ok....I cannot do the shutdown as I cannot access the settings on the clock face.
Pse advise. Thanks again

What ever you do, do not complete a factory reset on your device. I did and then quickly got a " Here is a 35% coupon to buy a new fitbit."

I have all the same indications, sometimes grayish screen, sometimes looks like it is trying to restart, but nothing on the screen. Please let me know if someone comes up with a fix!

The battery draining likely gave it an electronic/logic reset.
Good outcome, but shouldn't have to leave it to chance to bring it back to life!
Try not to let the battery drain down to near zero. Seems these batteries don't recover well from a full discharge. Although well designed electronics should shutdown before the battery fully depletes.

Yeah this watch is a very buggy device and the worse electronic one we have ever owned. Because of all the forum reported bricked devices after trying various updates - we have finally decided to no longer risk ever updating again. We will stay firmly on 70.7.14.
For those that have bricked devices contact customer support and request they send you a replacement. For those that are offered a 25% discount on another device - get something else like a Apple or Garmin or whatever.

I was so so Glad when Fitbit decided to replace my supposedly faulty Iconic and it did arrive on 21 Sept. Setting it up was a Breeze but after 3 days, it just died. The charge on the screen showed red 0% though I have charged it and on app screen showed that it was fully charged.
AFTER that, no matter how, it refused to be charged again.
‘It is really disappointing. What can I do now?

The new watch they sent me lasted 2 days.....it is 0% charge and cannot be charged again

The app shows a healthy battery charge, 83%. However, the watch shows 0%
