Ionic's feedback

I purchased an Ionic last year in August and I have loved using it. I've found the HR and sleep data to be very informative.

About a week and a half ago, the HR numbers went crazy - things like 165 while sitting at my desk, peak heart rate readings while sleeping. Sleep data is hosed because it can't tell when I'm asleep. I restarted the device a several times and did a factory reset. Upon contacting support, they suggested another factory reset. This hasn't fixed anything.

Their update this morning - essentially, we know about this and we can't help. Really? There have been no firmware updates, what "known issue" started 10 days ago? At this point, with no HR or sleep data, I have a very expensive rechargeable watch. I am going back to my Casio G-Shock while I decide if I want an Apple Series 4 or I wait until the new toys come out in September.
