Ionic screen fading

Tonight my ionic screen has stopped working properly. When I press the left button the screen comes on but fades from the outside of the screen in a circle to total darkness very quickly. It doesn’t stay on long enough to allow me to see anything or change the screen.  I have fully charged it. Turned it off and on again and changed the clock face. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @nixinoz, welcome to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the screen issue that your Fitbit Ionic has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

If you haven't done so, I'd like you to try a restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps listed in this help article. After this, monitor your Fitbit Ionic and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi @JuanJoFitbit thanks for getting in touch. I have tried a restart but now my Fitbit won’t come back on. However it does keep vibrating so there must still be some life left in it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue and have tried to restart it multiple times and when that didn't work I did a factory reset and that still didn't work.  I think the display is just going bad on it.  I bought my  ionic in April of 2020.

Hi Dip412

I spent most of yesterday trying to do a factory reset. When that didn’t work I decided to charge it up. After leaving it for a few hours I did another factory reset (or at least I thought I did). It switched off and then came on again and it seems to have sorted itself now plus all of my data is still there. My watch is much older then yours. It’s at least 2 years old. Might not get much longer out of it but I’m happy for now. Yours should still be under warranty so might be worth getting in touch with Customer Services as they are normally pretty good. I hope you get yours sorted.
