Seems odd that the screen of your son's device isn't responding, thanks for the details that were shared with me in your post. If you haven't already done so and because the buttons of the device are working, please try to restart the Ionic following the next steps:

Best AnswerThanks for your response. Now we have nothing on screen. Charged incase it was low on charge . Nothing is working. No screen on and no way to tell if its charging or not.

Thanks for the details that were shared, sorry to know that your device isn't responding anymore. I want to suggest you our factory reset procedure, which is completely different than our restart process. To do so, please try the following steps:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Best Answer@Maiders81 , this is a common behavior that tons of other users are experiencing. Basically, be the ionic is dead as explained in other posts.
