Ionic screen has died

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have an Ionic that is three years old and my screen has died. The watch still works but the screen is blank. When it first started (a few days before it died) I could reset it the first time. The second time it reset, but the screen wouldn't swipe right, left or down. The third time I tried to reset I just didn't get the screen back.

Is this Iconic deceased. Have I dead Iconic. Has it shuffled off its mortal coil - Or is there something I can do to fix it?

Hi there @Bazbit

Thanks for the details shared on your post and for the troubleshooting tried prior posting. If your Ionic screen is blank but it is able to sync, let's try changing the clock face

If the issue persists, I suggest trying the following:

  1. Important: Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost.
  2. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  3. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  4. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  5. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays fitbit.com/global/us/setup
  6. When the device successfully resets, please set up your Ionic as new device. See How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Tried both suggestions but the screen stays black so I can’t see if the Fitbit logo appears or disappears. I guess the watch is now useless.

Sorry Cindy,

Too much aggravation. My password seems to have stopped working and I can’t get past this to message your support team.

Easiest solution is to just bin my watch and buy an Apple watch.

I've had a similar issue with my Ionic dying...  I've had to Factory Reset over 12x and it finally vibrated and I'm fighting to update it...  I guess you can ask for a discount on the "next one"...  I'm going to a Versa3 and that's it for me with FitBit, I'll move to a Garmin if this one give me guff.
