So i did a bit of research into this beforehand, and found that this has been a requested feature for years now, which makes it a bit odd that it hasn't been done yet.
Nobody wants or needs to know how many calories they burn each lap. You are going a set distance each lap, so unless you change your stroke, you will burn approximately the same calories per lap regardless. The only useful calorie stat is the total burn at the end, possibly a cumulative average per lap if you want to project another swim.
The only split any swimmer wants is the time split. As in time per lap. That is what training is based off of. This is how the running and biking work, it's ridiculous to think that swimming should be any different. Lap splits are only available on the watch as you swim, but are nowhere to be seen in the in-app or web page summary, only the average split. Please fix this Fitbit.

@SharkySmash Welcome to the Community. I appreciate the time you took to share your feedback about splits that should be shown on Fitbit.
Your feedback is appreciated, this is why we have our Feature Suggestion board, those ideas are reviewed by our team and the status changes based in Fitbit's plans. I noticed that suggestion has been already posted here, however the status is not currently planned, you can learn more about it on the link.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the reply! I understand that the popularity -or "scale of impact", as the FAQs state- of a suggestion is a driving factor for what features are scheduled for implementation. I also realize that swimming is a very small subset of Fitbit's demographics however, and is never going to match the numbers of demands for, say, running or cycling. This is definitely a critical issue for swimming tracking however (it essentially makes swimming tracking for performance-minded athletes useless in its current state), and the suggestion is based off of information that the watch already collects. With the suggestion topic locked, are there any avenues to allow for this suggestion to gain visibility? Again, I do sincerely appreciate the help, I'm just a little frustrated by swimming being such a minority group within the community.

@SharkySmash Thanks for getting back. I appreciate your comments about ideas that are categorized as not currently planned.
The votes for this type of ideas remain opened because we continue to track community demand over time. Depending on Fitbit's plans the status of the idea might change but I don't have any information about it yet.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Absolutely useless. Why pretend that the watch is good for tracking swimming when you don't have the main feature that swimmers want - lap split times? I've wasted my money on this rubbish as tracking swimming was the main reason I bought it. And they can't be bothered to make a tiny change, knowing that they already have the data?
