Swimming lap time splits.

Hi,

Is there a way to modify the results screen in the app to show split times?

I have my cue set at 100m but the table shows calories per 100m.

I would prefer to see time per 100m like the walk function does per 1km.

Is this possible and I just haven't found it yet?

I too would like to know how to do this.  On the watch face when you first finish the swim, it shows the split times per lap, but when you sync to your app, the laps are all listed with calories burned per lap.  What good is that information.  Split times would be so much more useful.  Please Fitbit, if it's not a setting currently available you need to change it.

Same request from me please, it doesn't seem to be available on the website either. I would also like to see length timings as well as lap times. Thanks!

Same from me. Total calories burned is fine, but I don't care about 100 splits for this measure when it barely moves.

If you want to improve performance or work on your weaker areas of the exercise you need split times. I've tried everything.

Come on FitBit - please give us solution and send us an update to the App to fix this.

I too want to see this, split times are essential for analysing and improving performance

Agreed with all of the others! Split times are necessary for training. Please send an update to fix! Thanks

Is there any update on this? I also would like to have the split time instead of calories. I hope this can be rectify.

Frustrating that this is still not resolved. Calorie count is useful, but not having an option to switch to lap times - particularly when the Ionic itself is able to display this information at the end of a swim - is disappointing. I want to see my progress over time.

We swimmers need a response please.

We hope to recieve update from Fitbit if they have any plans for our request.

has anyone found a solution to this please? i'm new to fitbit ionic and I mainly use it for swimming. it has been really annoying that split time can only been seen on the watch just after i finished my swim and this data seems to get lost somewhere when sync to the phone???

If this is how the watch was designed, I'm gonna have to return it and go for either a garmin watch or a Sunnato watch.............

This is a problem for me as well and it doesn’t seemed to have been fixed with the latest update.

I, to, am interested to have split lap times!

I echo this request. It's frustrating that the lap time info is being tracked on the watch, but is not available afterwards on the app. Calories burned per length is a completely useless stat, I want to know my time per split so that I can work to improve it and make sure I'm being consistent.

Best Answer

Yes agree. And on the watch it says "view all lap time via the app" or something. But I can't find it on the app. The calories data is useless in this scenario. All I want is the split time and pace etc.
I am using a Versa watch.

@ruthtsang yes exactly can't find the data in the app and I know it is there...it is all I care about. Not some made-up calorie per minute stat.

@Fitbit FIX THIS!!!!

I have ditched the FitBit Ionic and gone to a Garmin Fenix 5S. For swimming it has seriously good data to help training. Also the GPS for open water swimming is awesome. It still has virtually all other features the Fitbit has, including sleep patterns as an example. I paid $599.

I had 2 Fitbits that had problems in less than a year, so after the second instance I got a full refund under warranty and bought the Garmin. Very happy. Sorry Fitbit- you are just too slow in responding to this feedback. I like your product but I now see it falls short against others.

Each time I get an update, I think this will be resolved. Disappointing.

I got my Fitbit Versa in April but decided to switch to Apple Watch when series 4 came out. Disappointed about the swimming split since it has been months and doesn’t seem to have an update. Activity in Apple Watch app shows swim split time accurately, everything from no. of strokes and distance. And they can track open water swim as well. Sorry Fitbit, I loved the Versa but slow on feature enhancement is why you lose me.
