Ionic steps and heart beat are way off

My Ionic keeps reading steps and im

not even wearing it. The steps easily hit 100,000 steps before the battery dies. The heart monitor also shows a heart rate of 180 beats and the watch is in my lap. What is the issue?   I have reset it numerous times and still no luck.  What should I do now?

A warm welcome to the Community @Silva32! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned and the troubleshooting that you've performed.

 

It's pretty weird that your Ionic is showing you that amount of steps and you're not even wearing it. I've created a case on your behalf with Support, they will continue assisting you on this matter.

this might sound silly, but what watchface are you using? I noticed that one of the watchfaces i was using did not have body detection built in. so when i was not wearing it, it was still tracking heart rate and showing it on the face. i wonder if its possible the steps is also related to the watchface doing something funky
