So as of this morning my Ionic no longer displays any notifications from my phone (iPhone 7) at all, even though It was all working fine when I went to bed last night... Great! I've followed the online troubleshooting but to no avail and verified that the phone's Bluetooth is still working. I've heard of people experiencing similar issue after an upgrade, etc. but not this scenario. I am waiting on Fitbit customer service to respond but in the mean time, I wondered if anyone else has experienced the same problem and if so, was there any solution?
Best AnswerA quick check @ChrisCook12 - have you swiped left to right from the clock screen, and made sure the setting there for Notifications is set to “Receive from phone”?
Best AnswerI had the same problem this morning. In my case (iphone 6s) I went to Settings>Bluetooth and under 'MY DEVICES' Ionic was listed there but said 'Not Connected'...I just tapped it and it connected to my ionic and I started receiving notifications again.
I think it got disconnected after a iOS update/phone reboot.

Best AnswerThis happened to me, I went into my settings on my phone and told the phone to forget the ionic, then I went into the app and reconnected it again and it fixed it. I don't know if you tried that yet, but previous to doing that I had deleted the app, factory reset the watch, etc. If you haven't done it it won't hurt, right?

This has helped me, thanks. Mine stopped working last week some time and have only just found this community page and started to try to find the problem.
Don't know how this setting changed, but at least now I know where it is I can check it next time .
Thanks

did you lose any data when you did this?
JDB752 on the ionic, go to settings; about; and scroll to the bottom. there is a factory reset, just click on it and the watch resets. note that you will lose all music, data, and apps from the device. it make take several hours to reinstall the watch to your phone, if there is an update. mine took all night.
i disagree that the solution is factory reset. i too have an ionic that suddenly stopped giving me notifications. i have tried rebooting my iphone X, rebooting the device, forgetting the device in bluetooth and reconnecting. checked every setting on my phone and device, i even performed a factory reset. none of these have fixed the problem. every notification setting is on. the unit syncs fine. the only thing non-fitbit, is the clock face, which i have been using for at least a year, and notifications had been working just fine. i hesitate to call fitbit since i dont want to have to go through the whole process of rebooting and such, since that is what tech support desks typically do.

Best AnswerSo far, I have had two ionics. The first one did the same thing so far as not sending notifications from my iPhone as well as the HR monitor not working. I replaced it. the notifications worked fine for a couple months, then it stopped. I did a factory reset and they worked again for less than a week. I do no intend to do another factory reset. If this is a malfunction in the Ionic, then the company should send out an update to resolve it instead of having us do a factory reset each time this occurs.
I have done everything including a factory reset and still are unable to get notifications. Some come through but I have to pull down the screen to check them. No screen alerts when phone calls come in either.

I've got the same issue - If I perform a factory reset on my device Ionic, It sends notifications fine for the remainder of the day. However, the following morning - the notifications will not work.
The strange thing is that if you click to connect your Ionic via Bluetooth from the settings menu in the phone, it says 'needs an app for that' but then it seems the Fitbit app also isn't generating a Bluetooth signal to the Ionic.
Basically, it seems that performing a factory reset will force-connect the watch/phone together via Bluetooth and voilà, you have notifications. However, if anything happens between your watch/phone to sever that connection, another factory reset is required as this is the only way currently to force-connect the phone/watch together.

This seems to work as a temporary solution as it forces the Bluetooth connection between the Ionic & Phone. However, if/when that Bluetooth connection is lost for any reason - the same problem arises once more. And again, the only resoluation appears to be another Factory Reset.

Best AnswerDas selbe hier mit Einer Versa 2 und der Ionic. Beide seit heute morgen keine Benachrichtigung mehr. Vermutlich aufgrund eines Updates von WhatsApp oder Fitbit.
Findyphone funktioniert allerdings
