Ionic stopped working and won't turn on

Hi, my Ionic seems to have died. No screen and no lights on the back. This started a  couple of days ago when I noticed I couldn't get the screen to come on. My first step was to try a reset which resulted in the fitbit logo appearing but then nothing, just a blank screen again. Repeated this process several times with no result and at this time the lights on the back of the unit were still flashing occasionally. Device did have a decent amount of charge last time I saw it on and even synced a few times whilst attempting to reset. Been completely dead for over 24 hours now despite more attempts to charge/reset.

Anything else I can try or can anyone at Fitbit help here? This was already a replacement device sent out by Fitbit after the previous one failed!

Hi @Samgoon, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and recommend trying the following:

  • Follow the complete troubleshooting instructions at Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
  • If the issue persists, try a factory reset. This procedure deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your alarms, goals, notifications, music, and everything that is stored on it. After a factory reset you must set up your watch. The steps are:
  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware (See How do I update my Fitbit device?).

I'll be around if you need further help.

Hi, LiliyaFitbit.

Thanks for you reply, but I have tried all of these steps without success. I'm unable to get the screen to show anything, including the fitbit logo. It doesn't vibrate at any point and has no lights on the back. No sign of life anywhere, its completely unresponsive
