I've had an Ionic for almost two years without any issues. A few days ago it started turning off on its own once or twice a day. I used to two button turn on method and it worked.
Today I was notified through the app there was an update available. I thought great, hopefully this will fix the issue. I started the update (with the watch on the charger) and the watch turned off at some point during the update and is now dead. I have tried the 2 and 3 button methods to turn on or factory reset it but nothing worked.
I wish I was surprised..... this is my 4th fitbit all the top of the line and all have broke around the 1.5-2 year mark. I was really hoping this ionic would be different. Time to jump to Garmin I guess!

Call or chat with their customer service. You'll probably get a replacement. I had the same issue after the installing the update and I am getting a replacement of my Ionic watch.

@Shahbaaz A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.
It sounds like your Ionic isn't charging because when you unplug it from the charger it turns off. I would like you to try the tips on this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Let me know how the troubleshooting goes. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

@Shahbaaz Thank you for getting back.
I appreciate the time you've took to troubleshoot this with me. Fitbit doesn't have any service or repaired center. However I've shared your post with our Support team and someone will contact you as soon as possible. Keep in mind that due to recent events affecting our operations we may take a bit longer to get back to you.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
