My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

I would love to do a reset on my phone but it won’t even light up.
ive left it off and went to use again 2 days ago and it said 0% battery. I’ve tried charging it since then, different sockets etc and still dead. Nothing happening at all. My app says battery dead. What can I do!? It’s only 6-8 weeks old!

@SantiR I did factory reset and charge for more than an hour but the battery remains at 0% and didnt show any progress at all. Cant set up the wifi as the battery remain 0% even though the sign shows that it was charging.

I went to get my ionic this morning and it said "0%". I plugged it in and the screen went black and now I cannot get anything to come up. I tried the restart and my phone app says it is searching for my device.

I get the same thing. Does anyone know what the warranty period is for a Fitbit Ionic? I've had mine just over a year now and I get the same 0% issue. Sometimes nothing comes up. I've tried cleaning the points, tried different chargers and computers and tried the reset to no avail. Really not keen on spending another $400 after just a year.

OK after playing around a bit further mine is charging again. I tried the needle method that someone suggested, clean the edges of the connection area on the watch. There must have been a build up of very small particles in the grooves preventing consistent connection. I then forcibly pushed and held the connection tight to ensure I saw the 0% consistently. Have always thought the charging mechanism is a weakness and it appears by all the issues posted that this is the case and the cause of many issues. Good luck.

Contact FItbit and get a replacement, but the replacement only seem to last a few months as i am on my 6h FITBIT, the Iconic Charge design is horrendous, FITBIT must be aware and they are still selling them. Very poor show. I keep being offered a replacement or pay £100 to a the latest model but not sure why i should pay for a better model when the original one i paid for is so rubbish. I now accept it is not if it goes wrong again only a matter of when it goes wrong again.

Hi,
I also have had this issue several times in the past months, but what strikes me is that I'm only have had this issue at home (when it occurs). When I'm on my job, I never had a charging issue.
Past weekend I had the same: charged it as of Friday without any result (wall mount, USB on PC,...). Arrived this morning on the job, plugged in, and starts charging immediatly.
And for those smart guys. yes, the wall mount is working fine with other appliences.
