My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

Hi, I was able to fix mine and it started charging. Follow this instruction in the video. https://youtu.be/k8ZU9_GQUzE.  In my case, I had to plug it into my laptop and had to wait severally for the Fitbit logo to appear and I kept holding until I got vibration and i released. Moments later it rebooted and my screen came up and sit started charging. Hope it helps someone.

Ionic stuck at o%, that’s all that shows up on the screen. Can’t get to other screens to reset.

Allow the watch to "charge" for at least 30 minutes, even if 0% is selected, and then press the three buttons until the logo appears.
The watch screen should appear with the charge percentage so far.

My watch doesn't show 0%, just a blank screen. I've had it on the charger
for weeks, tried the reset and nothing.

Hi all,

In have tried everything managed to get the screen to show that its charging but it isnt.

About the 10th time I have gotten it this far.

Probably going to look at a Samsung watch, had problems with this and my last fitbits and i can't justify buying a new fitbit.

Like the rest of us you're screwed. If it's still under warranty they'll
replace it, if out of warranty then they'll send you a coupon for your next
Fitbit (but who the hell would buy another one of these pieces of **ahem**)

I went through this last week!  i even chatted with someone at Fitbit and all they could offer was to buy a new one!  So, I thought I would try one more thing--I bought another charger and it worked!!!!

Well done for your suggestion. Thought I had tried everything to get rid of the 0% scenario until I read your post. As per your suggestion, I cleaned the contact area and it is now working!

Hi I have the same problems , I called customer services who didn't help at all and said as my watch is out of warranty there is nothing they can do. I find this so harsh as I love this watch but now can't use , can't sync from my phone , cant get into watch as it won't turn on so what else can I do ?

I managed to clean the contacts and it charged so mine is ok it was just cleaning the contacts. Try that very thoroughly!

Clean the connections on the back of the watch and check your charger is clean also. This is the only thing that worked for me.

Tried cleaning the connections and charger still didn't help.

Fitbit were no help at all, fortunately i just received confirmation from my credit card company that because i purchased the fitbit 14 MONTHS ago i qualified for the 1 additional year of warranty through them. So i can purchase a new Fitbit Ionic and my card will be credited for the amount of the original purchase.

Would have preferred to get a different brand really unimpressed with Fitbit the company

I was swimming in the ocean and found that little Metallic fragments
were hiding and magnetized to the charging leads. I had to dig them out

good luck
