I woke this morning to find my Fitbit clock had lost one hour.
I tried to sync with my iPhone X and my Bluetooth couldn’t find it. I shutdown my Fitbit, turned off my phone and turned them on and tried again. No success.
Next i attempted to reset via left button and bottom right. No success. Next I forgot the device from the app and tried to set up again. No success. Finally I factory reset the ionic and since then all the ionic does is flash the Fitbit logo.
This is is extremely annoying this Fitbit was only purchased the 9/01/19. After my previous ionic died after the latest update .
Does anyone one have any suggestions?

My fitbit ionic is doing the exact same thing.
It stopped syncing and started showing the wrong time. Reset the fitbit, my phone and uninstalled the app. Finally gave up and unpaired the device from the app and my Bluetooth then factory reset the ionic. Now it is just showing the flashing logo and won't let me reconnect.
I've had this since Christmas which is the worst part since it was a lot of money for a Christmas gift that won't work past 7 months.
I would like someone to reach out to me. Thank you.

@Robynpeddle before we may be able to setup the tracker, we need to fix the sync issue.
Removing a tracker that is not syncing from an account will not fix a sync issue but make things worse.

And what am I supposed to do to fix the sync problem? I've now gotten the fitbit repaired with the phone after trying all night. Still won't sync.

Mine is doing the same, just before it happened the touch screen stopped working too. Has anyone had any joy in getting your watch to work again ?

So I reached out to twitter support - they told me to wait till the new update and it will fix itself (which it didn't). I reached out to the online chat which said that by doing all the troubleshooting techniques (restarting, Bluetooth resetting, everything). There was no fixing the ionic and they offered me a new ionic or a different fitbit at 50% off. Pretty crappy that the ionic can just die like that. I only had mine for 6 months

Just happened to me. Fitbit ionic had been bad at syncing since the day I bought it, but recently it's been very bad. Noticed this morning that it was an hour off, so I tried syncing it to fix the problem. Went through all the steps including unpairing, reinstalling the app, and finally tried factory reset. Unfortunately my ionic is now stuck in a boot loop with the logo flashing. Tried the "hard reset" mentioned here multiple times with no luck. Is the only option to get a new device?

This is a known behavior that many Ionics are going to exhibit. In short, there is no solution and fitbit will not acknowledge the problem. Mine exhibited the exact same behavior as you described. Also, unfortunately, this post will be removed because fitbit is trying to "hide" all related problems.

Unfortunately asking your fellow Fitbit users for help with a hardware problem, at best we can say to do a restart or a shutdown.
Your best course is to contact Fitbit. Link may be found in the top right slide out menu above or under help in the Fitbit app, or under the help link found below.

This problem just happened to my Ionic, after receiving a replacement 7 months ago. Basically, customer service told me too bad and offered me a lame 25% off another tracker. As if! I’ve been a customer for over 5 years and have purchased 6 different trackers over the years and have loved them. I’m actually really sad, but I won’t be purchasing another one. Never again. They are too expensive and are basically pieces of junk. I will tell everyone I know to stay away . Fas away! Apple Watch, here I come!

Mine is doing the same thing right out of the box. It sounds like I just need to return it after reading all of these discussions.

Same here.
The fitibit was losing time about 10 minutes without sync. followed all the recommendations by fitbit. wipe data, turn off phone, relink to phone... etc.
Fitbit ionic still losing time.... then did factory reset and now the ionic is stuck on logo screen continual reboot. contacted fitbit and told me not fixable buy a new one with 25% discount.
I had updated firmware about a week ago had no issue with the device for over a year and with the firmware it has crashed my device.
Not buying a new one to have the same problems in a years time.

My Fitbit Ionic got stuck on the logo screen after I had it about 14 months. Called customer support and we went through everything to reset. Finally they told me it was a software issue and couldn’t be fixed. I had been with Fitbit since the “one” which you had to clip on and all they could do is offer me 25% off a new piece of crap? This watch cost me $250 and only lasted 14 months and broke because of a software issue and that was my fault? Has anybody been able to get these to work again?

My Ionic will not restart after factory reset. I have never had problems with it, and I have never caused it any damage. It is now useless to me.
