Same thing just happened to me this morning. I've owned it for just as long as well. Very disappointed.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. 😞 I bought it on Dec 2017 on amazon and it worked finely until yesterday afternoon.
Is there any chance that doing a Factory reset it works again? If so, from te App, how can I do it?

Same thing happened to me, I tried keeping it on the charger, hoping it was just a battery thing, but after 9hrs of charging, even the forced restart method doesnt even work. Completely dead.

That is what the Ionic does, it fails typically between the day you bought it and 12 months. Most people have had multiple replacements. Sorry you have been mistreated by fitbit as we all have. The Ionic is a disaster.

Same thing happened to me 2 days ago and all Fitbit could do was a 25% off for a new one. Totally unacceptable!

Mine quit yesterday as well after getting in December 2017. It freaked out on Sunday and thought the date was October 12th. I tried changing the clock face but it wouldn't change then it went black overnight and won't charge.

We are on the same boat, only except that mine didn't get confused about the dates before dead.
I contacted their online support and all they would do was a 25% off coupon for me to spend more money buy their products...I don't think so: even a 90% off is 10% too much to ask for customers to pay for Fitbit's design and quality control issue!

In the UK, even if there is only a twelve month warranty, we are protected by consumer laws regarding something ‘being fit for purpose’. I would anticipate a fitness device to last more than the 12 months and would be pursuing this, should Fitbit decline to accept that their product is not capable of refund or recompense. It is outrageous that Fitbit will not consider this, if indeed this is the case

I just made my post about the same thing. This has turned me against fitbit. Currently wearing my Samsung Galaxy watch I rage purchased yesterday and I already love it more. And if anything happens to it, SAMSUNG CAN FIX IT!

I will probably do the same: currently looking at Samsung and Garmin watches.
Don't forget to report your experience to state and federal consumer protection agencies. This is not a revenge but because we owe it to all our sisters and brothers using defected trackers.

Very disappointed in Fitbit. Like others, I got a discount on a replacement when clearly it died due to a manufacturing defect (while I was sleeping!). If Fitbit was interested in building a loyal fan base (I thought I was one), they would react to these quality problems in a better way than this.
FITBIT EMPLOYEES, if you are monitoring these forums, the fact that Fitbit users are discussing which competitor's product that they are going to switch to due to poor support of your products, please pass this along to those who make the decisions and let them know that they are going to drive the reputation of your company into the ground. If you stood behind the product, these same folks would be vocal supporters of the brand. Either way, we will be vocal. Which do you prefer - pro-Fitbit or anti-Fitbit?

What about Canadians...can we use that link as well
And yes this probably will get removed. The moderator removed several of my posts yesterday stating that I was "cross posting"...

I received my Ionic as a Xmas gift in December 2017 and it suddenly stopped working today. After reviewing most of these replies, it seems to be a consensus that the product was designed to stop working after a 12 month warranty. I haven’t had a chance to contact Fitbit as I’ve been trying to figure out the problem. I really like my Fitbit and it’s very disappointing to hear that Fitbit isn’t offering to replace the product. They should stand behind their product.

Same thing for me! Purchase around Christmas 2017. Tried all the reset and troubleshooting provided, but nothing. So disappointing.

Ionic, got it just before Thanksgiving 2017 using a 50% off coupon from Fitbit because my Surge was falling apart after about 8 months.
