I select the swim option in the exercise app. I swim. When I am finished, I lose the workout. It tells me the distance, elapsed time, and the lap times through about twelve laps. Then it tells me to go to the app on my phone to see the rest of the workout. So I go to the Fitbit app, select exercise, and find the swim. It records the total time and distance, but shows me swimming backstroke for several laps when I am in fact swimming crawl. Then, instead of the lap times. It gives me the distance for each lap and the calories burned for each lap, in which I have no interest. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks.

I choose the workout, not lose it!

@Zorro2015 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the detailed information shared.
When your swim activity is tracked with the exercise app, it will show you swim lengths, duration, distance and pace. Before starting the activity, please make sure that you've entered the pool length on your Fitbit Ionic.
Inconsistencies in your swim data may be caused by any of the following:
If you would like that the swim stats could change in the near future, you could post your idea in our Feature Suggestion board, those ideas are reviewed by our team and the status will change depending on Fitbit plans.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

@Zorro2015 Thank you for getting back.
I appreciate that you mentioned your Ionic is still tracking your swim activity as backstroke. In this case, I've shared your post with our Support team and someone will reply to you as soon as possible. Keep in mind that due to recent events affecting our operations we may take a bit longer to get back to you.
Regarding the data that you're seeing on your Fitbit Ionic and app, it should show the same information that you're getting in your watch.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I definitely wouldn't swim with my Ionic if I were you. My brand new one got water inside on my first swim with it today and is now dead. Fitbit support says it will take months before I receive a replacement--if they approve it. If you're looking for something to track your swimming I would definitely go with another brand.
