Ionic syncing issue - any expected response from fitbit or just return the product?

I have the Ionic for a few days now. The syncing option is NOT WORKING.

I have specified the details (tried all the usual stuff and it always returns to the same status).

I'm now starting the process of shipping back the product to Amazon. I wouldn't like to do this but it seems like there is no hope in fixing it. I guess I have a couple of days until shipping back, if anyone has an idea how and if this problem will be solved, please let me know, and again - Fitibit, your statement to the status is mandatory!

@dan_x, I am not sure what statement you are waiting for from Fitbit, but since their Customer Support persons don't reply to the forums there probably won't be any official statement coming.  Is the only problem you are currently experiencing that the tracker will not sync - it is paired to the phone, but won't sync?  Or, has it never completed setup?  If you open the iPhones Bluetooth settings and Forget the Fitbit, and then re-open the app, does it reconnect to the tracker?

I now have this ionic 34 days, and although the app is updated, the syncing is a random casino. Also, tapping the screen does sometimes wake the screen up, most of the time i need to hit the band a few times.  When i work i go back i install all the pepple software, and use the pebble, there all notifications work. Same Phone, Same OS ( android 6 ). So i do not believe it is a phone issue, but a combination from  hard/firmware and the app.

It is basically eating dust here. can i write here that waiting one month for some sort of serious update is not something i'm used to. Whats the problem here, shortage on staff? Company in trouble?

The issue is only syncing but it seems (for the last 12h) that I found the way to fix it:
1. Hard reset the phone (power + lower volume button)
2.Hard reset the ionic.

Since then it seems to function well...
Did contact Fitbit support directly and they did came back to me fast. They didn’t offer the solution above but it least were responsive.

I did this about a dozen times already. It's not about this, there is something not right in the whole track. Both firmware and app.

@DIKKE, it is quite possibly both the firmware and the app, but that does not explain why some sync all of the time without problems and others have a lot of difficulty in getting it to sync. Mine syncs several times a day - sometimes it will take it 3 or 4 tries before it syncs, but it does complete the sync. Others have had the type of problems that @dan_x described.

Same here, the syncing needs patience, and does it completely random. My biggest issue is the complete random casino of the notifications. Thats to me almost the key-function for a  Smartwatch?Whatsapp? sometimes, Phone? most of the time not. Text? sometimes. Email? sometimes not, sometimes the whole batch 5 hours later. I mean, i can imagine that all this is in a early beta stage, or that the app is going bananas cause it has to serve about 10+ models. But please, solve this ASAP?

Issue is back.. it fails syncing on every attempt...
