Ionic syncing issue with Samsung S8+

I have had my ionic for a couple of years now and its always been great. However, recently i have had issues with it syncing ....i followed all instructions, ie, turning bluetooth off and on restarting ionic, etc etc , thought id sorted it and all was ok for a day or two. Now it wont sync and i cant even pair it to my phone anymore (samsung s8 plus) frustrating is an understatement.. Please help, what am i doing wrong?

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before posting over here, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Samsung mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
