Ionic touch screen isn’t responding

I went swimming with my ionic one day and the next day my touch screen on my ionic stopped working. I am also noticing horizontal lines throughout the screen and when I see the screen it changes to inverted colors for a second ten changes back to original colors. It syncs to my iPhone SE and tracks heart rate and steps still, but I’m not able to use the touch screen to set up an exercise on my watch. I have tried resetting and that did nothing.

Hi @janna.stevenson nice to see you here. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for reporting the issues that you're having with the screen of your Fitbit Ionic.

Thanks for letting me know that it is able to sync with your iPhone SE, this is not a normal behavior of the Fitbit Ionic. In this case, I'd recommend to restart your Fitbit with these steps:

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

If you need additional help keep me posted. I'll be around.

I have restarted it but the screen is black, it won’t show anything and the
touchscreen feature isn’t working either. I am not able to shut it down
because I am not able to get to the settings app because nothing is on the
screen. It still tracks my steps and syncs to my phone, it just isn’t
showing anything on the screen, it’s completely black and not responding.
