When I go to exercise, it will not allow me to scroll down or select anything. I have updated it and reset it and nothing is working. I also get a calibration screen that comes up that indicates, “quick calibration needed for optimal sensor performance.” However, it will not let me select the start button for this on my touchscreen.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I recommend trying the following:
1. Connect your Ionic to the charging cable and lay it down on a flat surface for a few minutes.
2. Restart your watch once again: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
3. Change a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
