Ionic: update GPS

Hi there.

 

Is there any way to update the maps/GPS system on an Ionic?  When I finish my walks/runs, it shows a jump on the map at some point back to the beginning and that adds on distance which, obviously, it shouldn't.

 

I don't want to go through the hassle of setting my stride length manually, just want an updated GPS.

My map shows a straight line back to the beginning for no apparent reason. It must have something to do with the gps.

My GPS stopped tracking a few weeks back.... I think the Ionic as a product is on it`s last leg.... time to move on.
