We have now spent two days straight trying to get this thing to work. Go to fitbit.com/setup....OK...done. Download app....done. Set up WiFi network...FAIL. I put in my network name and password, and it tells me that the password is incorrect. I know that's BS, because I know my password. Yet, I tried it over and over. I even went as far as contacting my internet provider to CONFIRM my password. This is really annoying. I wanted to get my wife a really kick **ahem** watch for her birthday...and this thing is not even capable of doing that. It just displays a pretty little fitbit symbol and tells me to go to fitbit.com/setup. I now have a $300 lump of crap....actually closer to $400 because I got all of the extended coverage. I have spent about three hours today dealing with this crap and I am ready to return this thing and get my money back.

"I put in my network name"
You shouldn't have to enter your network name (SSID), as you are presented with a list of network names to which your Ionic can connect. Is your WiFi network 5Ghz? Does it use WPA Enterprise security? If the answer is yes in either case then you ionic will be unable to connect to your WiFi network. Read the help article "How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?"

I chose my network from a list, and entered my password. I also tried going manually, where I entered the network name and password. It's WPA2 personal. It should work...but it does not.

I’m having the exact same issue - I’m connected to my Wi-fi writing this message using the same WEP password I’m using to setup Wi-fi through the Fitbit app but it keeps telling me it’s an incorrect password.
did you ever resolve this issue?
the other comments have not helped.

Try ignoring the incorrect password error. A friend experienced this but found that Ionic connected to Wi-Fi. Just make sure to press on the network button and that the Wi-Fi signal reception bars are showing.

I had the same issue and spent all day on it. I was about ready to take it back but I read somewhere that it did not work with 5g so I called my internet provider and had them remove the 5 g (you can always add it back). then I gave it about 20 min. and tried it again. I was able to connect. still thinking about taking this **ahem** back because of all the time I have spent on it.
