Yes, I’m struggling with email notifications too. Very hit or miss, with emphasis on the miss.

@MacSparty @SunsetRunner Hi there! I'd recommend going through the checklist under the section, 'Why are notifications delayed or missing," in this help article. If the issue persists, go through the following suggested troubleshooting tips:

VERIFY THAT YOUR PHONE IS RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS

Make sure your phone is set to receive notifications. For more information, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

FORCE QUIT THE FITBIT APP

  • If notifications aren’t working, force quit the Fitbit app and reopen it to sync your Fitbit device.
  • Notifications should work as expected after your device syncs. If they don't, continue with the next task.

RESET BLUETOOTH

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app to sync your Fitbit device.

Notifications should work as expected after your device syncs. If they don't, continue with the next task.

RESTART YOUR FITBIT DEVICE

  1. Restart your device. For more information, see How do I restart my tracker?
  2. Open the Fitbit app to sync your Fitbit device.

Notifications should work as expected after your device syncs. If they don't, continue with the next task.

REFRESH NOTIFICATIONS

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (User-added image) >  your device image.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Turn off all notifications
  4. Restart your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and turn notifications back on.

Notifications should work as expected after your device syncs. If they don't, continue with the next task.

SET UP NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN

  1. Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
    1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
    2. Find an option to forget the device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

After going through the above, let me know if it improved your notifications experience.

I followed your instructions. It fixed the sms issue, but I don't receive email notifications via the "special treatment"

Thanks

Hi,

Yeah, I have the same problem with email notifications - it's not even appearing as an option to select it in the settings.

Ever since update which was this morning it works. Go to the Fitbit app ( I
have an I phone 7). Go to the watch icon and your notifications ( scroll
down) pair phone with Bluetooth and it should take you to the choices of
notifications.

I am also having this issue. All app notifications are working, as well as call and SMS. It's just the email notifications that aren't flowing through.

I have a 7 plus. I was having problems with getting notifications from the regular mail app. I had to download a secondary app for emails    I used the yahoo mail ap and set up notifications to the phone in a “banner” which allowed the Fitbit to acknowledge it was a notification sender...???

-then go into the Fitbit app on your phone

-sync with Fitbit

-choose the top left watch icon

-choose notifications

-choose app notifications

-swipe down to update list

-if your mail app pops up your good

Good luck
