Ionic will not sync or only sync a day

I have restarted my Ionic. I have done a factory restart. I have restarted my phone. I have deleted my ionic from my app, readded. I have turned off, charged, turned back on. I cannot get this thing to continually sync. It sync'd today but yet it did not sync May 18 or 19th. I cannot keep doing a factory reboot every freaking time it stops working. 

Sometimes it powers off on its own and shows the Fitbit logo, all hours of the night. I have tried to change to a simple watch face, but yet I cannot change it to another Fitbit face until it syncs. It also has an issue connecting to my phone (yes I have restarted bluetooth and yes my watch is next to my phone AND powered on). I am so aggravated and just want my watch to work and sync.

Hello @katwoman5 , if your Ionic is SYNCING now, your good.  The reason your not seeing a sync from days prior, is due to issues you had on those days.  It cannot go back in time to resync as it can only sync in the moment (hope that explains that part).  Since it is currently syncing correctly, are you able to change your Clock Face?  Is it working fine now? Finally, when did you purchase your current Ionic?

Hi! Thanks for the reply. 
I bought it 10/24/18. I cannot get the watch face because the app cannot find my watch and says to put it closer to the app and make sure it is turned on. I have been shutting things off and restarting trying to get it to go. Usually taking an hour or two to get it to go or have to factory reset it. 

Looks like I got the 18th and 19th finally loaded. This is just crazy. I am trying to update the face now. I had put on the Fitbit Bitmoji but thought it was draining my battery and I discovered it was not syncing again. This has been a weekly issue when I go to do something and my watch does not work. It also stops in the middle of a work out but if I am moving my arm and I do not feel the watch restart, I do not know until I go to finish and it did not record it. 

It is just a bummer because the little amount I am trying to be active keeps me accountable to myself. I just wish I would have kept the Blaze. I never had to do factory resets ever.

Okay, thank you. The last time I dealt with the factory restart I was so upset and was going to call support and then we needed to leave the house and I decided to just do the wipe and start over. When I had to do that factory reset, my screen would flash and be dead, then when you think it was dead, it would flash the time and then blank, flash time and blank. It was not responding to anything. I just wanted my watch to work.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @katwoman5. Many thanks for all those troubleshooting steps you have tried. Thanks @GySgt_Seidell for your explanations and for bringing this situation to our attention. 

 

About your screen flashing I recommend you to restart your watch again.

 

To continue, I'm sorry to hear that the synchronization of your Ionic it's not easy to accomplish. If you have already checked all the requirements listed in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and all those requirements are in order, you can try removing the watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings with all devices listed there too. Restart your phone again. Now add the Ionic to the Bluetooth list and reopen the app to start a sync.

 

While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're using to sync is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

 

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update.
