I received this device a year ago as a gift from my children. I will not tell them but this is the worse device I have every owned to track activity. It refuses to sync without going through turning off/on Bluetooth, same with the device itself, forgetting the device and then re-setting up. It is terrible!! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do so I don't have to keep going through these gyrations? If I can't figure this out, I am throwing out the device, telling my kids I lost it, and buying a forerunner.

A warm welcome to the Community @pdwaterman! Thank you for sharing how you got your Fitbit Ionic. I appreciate the troubleshooting that you've followed in order to sync it. Sorry you feel this way about your watch.
I would like you to confirm that you've performed these syncing steps and make sure that you have the latest app version.
If you're still experiencing syncing issues after trying the above, then let me know and I'll be happy to continue assisting you. Also, can you let me know which mobile device are you using?
