Welcome @Bronlloyd, thanks for jumping in here! Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this on your own. Nice way to go!

While reading your post, my first thought is that your Ionic might be no longer paired to your Fitbit account and that's why it's not syncing or connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Ionic and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device".

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device. Smiley Very Happy

Give this a go and let me know if the inconvenience persists.

Welcome on board @jsanders124242, it's nice to see you here! Are you still experiencing the syncing connection with your Ionic?

If you are, I'd recommend the following:

  • Restart your Ionic.
  • Log out from the Fitbit app, reboot your phone, log back in to the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off Bluetooth, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.

Try to sync after doing each of the steps above. That should certainly help you out with this.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Hi, I bought a Fitbit Ionic with great expectations, only to find myself highly disapointed right now 😞

I can connect my iPhone 8 (ios 12 and latest Fitbit app) to the Ionic without issue then it updates itself to v27.32.10.20 and the troubles start, first my phone tells me the update failed but the Ionic says its on that version... My iPhone is unable tot connect to the Ionic from that moment on and keeps trying to sync without succes.

Following all the instructions on your support site also gives no result. Rebooting all devices, removing the device from both Fitbit app and devices results in the fitbit app hanging stuck after entering the pair code... Pls help

I’ve been having the same issues and have done everything that has been recommended as well. It will connect once after a disconnection and reconnect and then won’t do it again.

Thanks for stopping by @jpaulmoore! Hmmm... that's very strange. Can you please send me a screen shot of your phone's Bluetooth settings?

If your Ionic is no longer paired, please see: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to add your tracker again.

Looking forward to your response! Robot Very Happy
