Ionic won't sync with iPad or Android phones

I am getting more and more frustrated with my FitBit Ionic!!! For 3 weeks already I keep having problems with syncing!

My iPhone 5s died on me. I am waiting for a new iPhone (coming in 2 weeks), so in the meantime I am using other phone (a Huawai) and iPad Pro... But...

On Android phones I can't sync at all (Samsung/Huawai, both no succes). My iPad only SOMETIMES syncs, or it only syncs the steps, but not my sleep or the correct time. Don't know why only sometimes. Today, it's not even "sometimes", but NOT AT ALL. The battery of my Ionic was at 0% for an hour and a half, so now the time is also an hour and a half behind... No matter WHAT I try, I can't even set something as simple as the TIME!!! Why? Why Fitbit??? Why can't I just set the time ON THE WATCH ITSELF??? Why does this have to be done by the app??? Now that it doesn't work, my (very expensive) watch becomese USELESS!!

I have tried multiple resets of both the iPad and the ionic. Uninstalled the app and installed it again. Still no success... I was (eventually) able to I am going crazy!!!

What should I do??? I did everything:

  • The latest version of the Fitbit app is installed .
  • The software on my iPad is up to date.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your iPhone is on (switched it off and on multiple times!)
  • No other Bluetooth connectionss.
  • My Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.
  • The firmware on my Fitbit is UP TO DATE...

I also tried these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. Restart iPad.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. Restart Fitbit device.
  7. There are NO other Fitbit devices in my account...

HELP!!!

I do not want to do a FACTORY RESET, as I read in another thread that this can also cause new problems (like the Ionic won't start at all anymore)...

I have FINALLY managed to change the time via my PC, which also has bluetooth... But this watch has cost me SO MUCH time already... If this problem is not going to fixed quickly, I will surely start looking at Apple Watches or other brands (Garmin?)...

So, Fitbit, keep a happy customer by solving this!!! Thank you!
