New Ionic Fitbit and it will not comnnect to my wifi, which is with sky so there shouldn't be a problem. My iPhone and iPad are connected without a problem!

There are certain wi-fis that the Ionic will not connect to. Check your router and make sure it is a 2.4 Ghz or dual band router. If it is a 5 Ghz one then it won't connect.

With as long as 5 Ghz has been out I'm totally shocked it won't work with that.

How do I tell what my broadband is?

It is not your broadband but the router that sends out the wi-fi signal. I would suggest first checking the unit to see if it has anything on the case to tell you. If not, note the manufacturer and the model number and then check the internet for the user manual which should tell you.

I’ve checked with sky and we are on 2.4ghz but the ionic still won’t connect, could it be a fault with the ionic?

@Gilly1234 I assume you mean you have 2.4 Ghz. If so look at the following link and work through the steps to see if it will connect:

If you actually have a 5 Ghz router then it will not connect to that. In my case, I needed a range extender for my house becasue the line came in at one end of the house and the signal was iffy at the other end. I just purchased a dual band extender that automatically detected the band needed and linked up. I have had no issues with the Ionic on that.
