I upgraded from the blaze to the Ionic but have had problems ever since. My ionic won't connect to my phone properly, I have tried everything. Restarting the Fitbit, restarting my phone, uninstalling the app, turning my Bluetooth on and off. It literally will never sync, the notifications are coming through sometimes but it won't sync my data and wont connect to my phone to control the music etc. Do you think the Fitbit itself is faulty as I had no problems with my blaze.
It's just decided to update! Don't think I want something that's as glitchy as this, I had no problems with my charge 2
Best AnswerHi @Cupcakes1987,
What sometimes helps me if my Ionic won't sync anymore is this:
- Close the Fitbit App
- Switch off Bluetooth on my phone
- Start the Fitbit app and try to sync -> this gives an error stating that bluetooth is disabled
- Close the Fitbit app
- Enable bluetooth on my phone
- Start the the fitbit app and try to sync
There are a lot of messages regarding synchronization on this forum. Syncing works in my case most of the time, so your problem might be entirely different than mine. It's a simple procedure however, worth a try.

@FastEddy-, most often this can be simplified by simply closing the Fitbit app, opening the phone's Bluetooth settings, select the Fitbit device, tell it to Forget the device, close the phone's settings, re-open the Fitbit app and sync the tracker.
Best AnswerI do not understand why we should have to go through this on a daily basis. I had a charge 2 for over a year with no problems. My wife's Blaze does not have this issue. Mine has not been able to sync for over 24 hours now. It will go 3 or 4 days in a row with no issue. Then it will go days where I CANNOT get it to sync. I was really excited when I got this and to be honest I am sick of it. About to return it and go back to my charge 2. I personally do not like apple products but I am strongly considering it.
I'm perplexed. I got my Ionic for Christmas and didn't have any issues until I went back to work after a holiday break. Seems like it loses it connection going from data and WiFi so it won't sync when I'm at work without rebooting both my phone and the tracker then same thing when I get home. However, it did sync when I got home last night until around 8pm then just stopped and hasn't synced since. Now, I'm rebooting my phone and tracker AGAIN and waiting for them to hook up again. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I have my settings on All-Day Sync. Not sure what else to do?
Has anyone taken the advice mentioned earlier by telling your phone to "forget" your Ionic? Usually this works for me.

@DramaQueenDiva, I have used the phone's Bluetooth settings to tell it to Forget the Ionic a number of times in order to get it to sync - it has worked every time. One of the problems of the Forums, though, seems to be that many users don't search or peruse the forum for suggestions/answers before posting their "unique" problem.
Best AnswerI have done all of the suggested fixes and there is no consistency to what gets it to reconnect. I've had the best luck rebooting my phone, that seems to re-establish the connection and then my Ionic syncs right away. I've only had this issue once or twice since my original reply, the rest of the time, it had synched normally.

Best AnswerRestart he device. Hold he left and bottom right button for 10 seconds. That worked for me.
Is there another brand that offers what ionic has but actually works. I have lots of syncing issues and can't get any of my music to work. Can't load connect on the computer. Paid for a Pandora subscription and that won't connect with my Fitbit either. Customer service couldn't help because they are not in the USA and can't even use Pandora. Very frustrated and disappointed.
