Ionic won’t sync

My ionic quit syncing March 10. I have tried all the different suggestions I have found online and it still will not sync. The app finds it but won’t download data. I’ve update both the app and my iPhone 8, deleted the app and reinstalled it. Deleted the ionic from both the phone and the app. Nothing has worked. Any other suggestions?

Try removing it from your account and adding it back, that always works for me.

Can you sync your Ionic with your PC/Laptop/Mac rather than the phone? I'm wondering if its a problem with the Ionic or the 'link' between the phone and watch.

I've also found when I need to sync a couple of days worth of information it can take alot longer than usual. On occassion my Android phone seems to time-out and the sync fails

Thank you for you suggestions. I just needed to restart my ionic. Didn’t know I could do that. Will remember this if it happens again.

How did you restart your ionic? I need to do the same but I don’t know how.

Go into the settings App on the Ionic, scroll down to About then right down the bottom you'll see Shutdown.

Once the screen goes off just give it a couple of seconds and press any of the side buttons to turn it back on

Kind of odd that we spend a lot of money for something that you have to tweak every time you have to do something with it.  Like installing and uninstalling it to resetting it and turning it off and on.... Why?!

My personal feeling is its limitations/short comings in Android, at least from my expereince. My old Google watch was not alot better

Glad that 50 got his to work again but you're correct; why do we even have to put up with this ?  I am having the same problems.  I've tried all the fixes including reseting to factory settings.  The Ionic still will not sink with with the app on my iPhone 6+.  It worked the first few months and then it's been nothing but a problem.  This is the third and last fitbit device I will own.  I'll go to the apple watch next time.
