Best AnswerAfter reading all of this and realizing I didn't have a defective ionic, that it all happened to everyone at the same time when a software update was pushed... I sent back my versa for a refund. I will try to get the ionic working and if it just won't work then I will be going for a Garmin as well or the Samsung watch. Too bad... When it worked ionic was awesome.
Best AnswerWhich Garmins have people gone for and what's the experience so far?
I was looking at them before my last replacement Ionic arrived. Some research reading suggested that they registered heart rates lower than they actually were.
I love the design of the Ionic, I really do. Unfortunately either the technology or manufacture of the internals don't match the looks. It's a real shame.
Best AnswerI'm having trouble syncing my ionic. I have tried that already and it won't even show up to sync.
Best Answerso fitbit decided to push a firmware that stopped my ionic from working like it did.
I cannnot sync anymore, I can only do factory reset, pair with the ionic, and being forced to download a firmware to it, after the firmware has been transfered, I lose all contact with the ionic.
reading these comments I now know that this was done by intention.
I don't trust this company anymore.

Best Answerwhy are you even buying them?
Syncing is working after factory reset, it's their firmware that is locking down further syncing.
I tried 3 phones, initial setup, firmware download, initial syncing works.
after a few hours they all stop syncing.
fitbit does it on purpose to milk money from us
Best AnswerDon't bother with Ionic. Worst fitness tracker ever. I've wasted so much time going through trouble shooting steps. Shouldn't have to do it. I would have returned the watch a year ago if I hadn't lost the receipt.
It's obvious that even Fitbit don't know how to fix these issues. Their solution is to reboot, restart, remove, reinstall and still, my Ionic wont sync.
Piece of crap.!
