Ionic won't turn on

I got my ionic slightly wet in the shower this morning.  Heart rate monitor stopped working.  I did the restart and it didn't help so I decided to do a shutdown.  Now the ionic won't power back on.  I haven't seen a fix in the community but saw a 40% off has been offered.  Where can I access this offer?

...would love to know if there's been a fix as well

Thanks!

@AHORTON46 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

If your Ionic isn't turning on after you restarted it. I can create a case on your behalf with our Support team and they can provide you with the available options which are based in the Fitbit Warranty. Could you confirm that you don't have a case opened with our team?

Keep me posted.

After leaving it alone through the night, it turned on this morning and the heart monitor is working.  I purchased the ionic late Jan, 2018 so it's just under a year old.

I am curious if there is an automatic heart monitoring shut off if the fitbit gets wet (even slightly)?  If this is the case, how do you override it?
Additionally, I'm curious if this is an indicator of something else being wrong with the device.

Thank you!

@AHORTON46 Thanks for getting back. I'm glad to hear that it started working again once you left it through the night.

I would recommend that you're following these Wear and Care tips. Every once in a while, it's good to clean your Fitbit Ionic following the steps mentioned in this article

Remember that all Fitbit trackers and watches are water-resistant, which means they're rain-proof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. You can swim or shower with certain Fitbit devices such as Fitbit Ionic.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
