The newest update started downloading and my ionic shut off and will not turn on or charge. Battery was at 87%. Will not factory reset either.

Hello @SunsetRunner, your participation here in the Community Forums is appreciated.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, your effort troubleshooting your device before posting over here is also appreciated. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation.
Looking forward to your reply.

☹️ I have the same problem, I updated the app on my mobile on Saturday and since then the watch is dead, it does not respond to anything at all, according to the support team I try to charge via USB for a while, via the charger for a while and the result is the same, the watch does not respond to anything

I already have 2 Ionic watches, the first one lasted 5 months, these 9 months, they always died after the update, now I'm waiting for the result from the Fitbit help team, I will no longer buy another Fitbit watch if they survive less than one year..
