Ionic won't update!

Very frustrated.  Have an Android phone that won't update. Have tried reseting WIFI and bluetooth.  I get to the installation phase and it fails every time.  Have tried over both WIFI and blootooth and nothing works. Have downloaded the update multiple times.  This isn't the first time I've had syncing issues with the ionic, but it is by far the worst and it is very FRUSTRATING!

Have you got the most recent update for your FITBIT app on your phone. I was having trouble initially on my Samsung 8+ but once I updated the app on the phone it all went smoothly for me.

I've got an S8 as well.  Updated the phone app and still won't work.  Have reset bluetooth and phone and the ionic.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I have the same problem I've been trying for 3 days. I've contacted fitbit support multiple times and followed their steps and I still can't update this is ridiculous. It's already over priced now it's over priced and doesn't work...

Ok, I was able to update to OS2 last night.  Here's what I did.  1. Setup and tried a new WIFI network (different than the one that had worked in the past).  2. Found that Android needed to update so I completed that task.  I don't know what the issue was, but after I did both of those tasks, I could complete the update.  I followed the same procedure on my wife's S Note and was able to get it updated as well.

I've just updated mine after lots of frustration,  here's what I did

1 I set my phone as a mobile hotspot as our home Wifi was not fast enough

2 delete any other wifi already connected to fitbit

3 Connected to phones wifi

4 started update making sure that the phone does not go to sleep during the process which took around 45 minutes to complete
