The app isn't syncing anything from my ionic. Have tried logging out, turning the phone off and on and turning blue tooth off and on. Any other suggestions?

In order to assist you, could you please tell me if there's no information when you sync your watch? Have you followed advise of the help article that @Odyssey13 shared with you?
