I had a fitbit years ago,  but left for a competitor so i could edit my runs to more accurately track my training. I came back to fitibit for the Ionic, but so far am not impressed. Am i just not

getting it, or is there no way to manually edit my runs so they accurately reflect distance? So a $300 watch cant to something my $50 TomTom watch could? Please help. I really want to like this watch.....

Welcome to the Community @iloverunning2! I'm afraid to mention that it's not possible to edit exercises, you can only change the name of activities that have been detected by SmartTrack. However, we have our Feature Suggestion board, where you can post and vote for new features that can be implemented into Fitbit trackers. I found that this idea has been already posted Have the Ability To Edit Exercises

Your understanding is appreciated.

I share the same frustration.  $300 Ionic with no edit capabilities... the only solution is to "delete" that run you did, for example, on the treadmill and manually log it in.  $300 spent so that you can manually log your time and distance...does not seem to be worth it.

My old Charge 2 was so reliable, so simple, and provides the best user interface.  Imagine, one button to push as you cross the start... and one button to push as you cross the finish line.

The Ionic requires you to fiddle with the screen, find the checkered flag spot with your finger, then again press the screen to confirm...and hope that your sweaty finger does not interfere with the touch-screen functionality.  3 buttons that you cannot change the functionality to tailor to the user's needs.

I solved it by taking the Ionic back to the store.  It's a really poor attempt on a multi-function watch...and too complicated to be a fitness tracker... and that the engineers/designers have decided that they know about your needs better than you do.
