As a Pebble smartwatch owner I have been waiting for the IONIC and after using it for a few weeks, I finally think that it is a good replacement and upgrade on a Pebble Time steel watch. As we all know it has some small issues and improvement requirements, but I think it ticks so many boxes that for me puts it into no.1 slot, even compared to the Apple Watch, which is a fail due to the short battery life. Below is my video review on the subject. Other opinions appreciated.

I am an ex pebble user and I can say that the answer is a great NO
I know that the garmin fenix 5 is expensive but this is the watch that is the closest to the peeble.
Same display, hour displayed permantly, find my phone avalaible, music commands on the watch, text notifications (that works !), call notifications with ability to take or deny the call... And there is apps on it like on peeble (and watchfaces)
The plus: gps, hr, vo2 max, strava segment, floors climbed (that are really working at contrary of the ionic) etc...
Frankly, I am extremely satisfied of my fenix 5... And I feel very stupid when I think about my ionic purchase...
So stupid I was to buy at 349€ something so bad and that has never worked correctly (problems for call notifications and sync problems sometimes)

Hmmm, strange how users can differ this much.
I am also an old Pebble Time user, and i have to say that i like the Ionic.
Hardly any problems, only bluetooth disconnects, but with Tasker i can reconnect every minute or even quicker if i want.
Only real problem for me is that the vibration is soft, even if the settings says Strong.
It does have more and more watchfaces, more and more apps etc.
I like it, but still has some features to go, before it is as good as the Pebble was/is.
