LEAVING FITBIT :(

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Sad day here.  I have used fitbit for at least the last 5 years.  I began with the blaze and did not have a lot of issues, except an occasional music connection and then as a gift, I received an Ionic.  Loved the watch but always had bugs and was constantly on the forums looking for answers.  Forums are ok but it is just easier if you could chat to a tech about your issue.  Anyway, my ionic over the last few months was doing weird stuff, losing charge quickly, shutting off for no reason and the last thing was that it would default to factory settings and then my screen went blank.  I knew it was still working because I was still getting vibrations for my notifications and I also felt the vibration for my step goal and that is how I realized I had no screen.  I have been waiting on fitbit to have leaks about a new watch and nothing.  The Versa is fine but I need a gps.  I was very skeptic about getting another Ionic and watching videos for the previous year of the top 10 running watches, ionic was only in 1 of those.  I needed a push since I am loyal customer and all my family is on fitbit and majority of my friends but I gotta put my progression into perspective and move on.  BYE BYE FITBIT.  I will miss you.

p.s. I will hang on to my stats though...;)

Hi @karmle76 , have you raise any fault report to Fitbit customer service officer via live chat? I think they are helpful. I received help on my aging Ionic (2 yrs 1 mth old) and I think it was the previous OS upgrade to the watch that is losing the battery capacity.

To be frank, but please don't hold me accountable, i received a replacement FOC despite it being out of warranty and i am now charging it on the average of 4+ days, where it was previously (after the OS upgrade) 3 days.

Alternatively, as one community person in your forum thread suggested for Charge 4 where it has a built-in GPS and NFC payment + 50m water-resistant with longer battery life and cheaper pricing than Ionic.. why not?

I was not aware of customer service live chat.  Again, lack of information.  Yes, I started having issues after an upgrade.  The light on the heart rate monitor would not turn off and to this day still does not turn off.  I have let the battery die and it would not turn off.  I noticed the screen in the last few weeks was getting a white haze around the frame of the display and now there is no display.  I contemplated getting another Ionic but all the reviews just seemed more negative than positive and I have been holding out for a new version and haven't seen any news of an upgrade from the ionic but I also need something that I don't have to worry about.  I still have it and maybe when I have the time, I will contact customer service and try getting it running correctly and I give to my husband.  He currently wears the charge 2 and loves it but he can't read it half the time cause his eye sight getting bad (getting old).

I appreciate the information below and will look into it.  Thanks.

I don't see where you can control music through it.  I just never looked at the charges.  Not crazy about the style of the watch.

The Charge 4 will have the option of Spotify though it is basically a remote control for your phone and you will still need Spotify Premium to use it.
