More here:

I'm installing it now on my Pixel phone.

Downloading now as well.
Ionic refuses to use my Pixel so fingers crossed. Came home tonight and figured I'd give the iPad Mini a go and it turns out that works fine so at least thats a workaround for now.
Will report back

Interesting. I did have any serious issues with my Pixel after I turned off "all day sync" and "always connected". Cheers.

Anyway the update works although it doesn't fix anything much for me. Maybe I'll see improvements tomorrow it's time for bed.

Downer. I imagine Fitbit devs are living in a flaming building right now so hopefully things will settle down in the next few weeks.

Yep did nowt for me as well. Straight back into Sync error and the Bluetooth issues pop up. *sigh*

To be clear, when I said it didn't fix much for me, my Pixel is working fine with it so there's nothing much to fix.
I'd try removing/repairing after the update perhaps and restarting the watch.

It flat out doesn't work on my pixel. Sometimes i get connection and get steps/cals/floors but then no hr or sleep.
The sync date shows whenever it last did a full sync. Sync on my pixel is utterly broken.

I'm also utterly sick of rebooting phones, watches, closing apps, removing apps, installing apps, rebooting phones, rebooting watches. I've been doing this for six weeks with a Charge HR 2 and now the Ionic. Doing this is not a fix.
Ironically it works every single time on the iPad mini so at least for now I have a daily way of syncing with some confidence.

Sorry no sympathy, as an IT guy I do this all the time with other software and I just have to accept it, complaining just wastes my own time.
I'm just saying once after the update. There could be dirty data that need clearing and resetting the pairing/restarting the watch may sort it. Strange why you have the issue and I don't, yet we have identical phones. Anyway it's your issue I guess I'll let you get on with it.
