The latest update for the Ionic left my ionic watch non-functional. It will download the update, start the install and stop midway through and go back to a startup screen as if the watch had no OS. Can someone provide solutions for this? Will Fitbit fix this update? I don't want to have purchase another watch. Thanks! -Dave

If your watch is still under warranty, please contactte help desk as soon as possible. You can get a new watch, if you can’t use your watch anymore. If you wait to long, your warranty will end and then you won’t get anything... So don’t wait for them! Updates don’t restore problems that you have now because of the update.
2 of my Ionic watches broke after an update. Luckily, these 2 were still having warranty, so I got a new one these 2 times.

I agree. I was worried that if I purchased another ionic I'd have the same problem during the next update. I think my watch is well outside of the warranty. I've had it for at least 4 years. Thanks! I'm trying a reset. I may remove the device and try a reinstall. Of course, I lose my data.

Ah... Sorry to hear it’s out of warranty...
I hope the factory reset will be the solution.

If it’s out of warranty, it’s a problem: you won’t get a new one, even if it’s the fault of the company (creating an update that breaks the Fitbit). If you have ‘luck’, Fitbit may offer you a discount if you buy a new one (like a discount of 25%).
That’s the reason that I don’t want to update my Ionic anymore... 🙁
