Fitbit Wallet on Fitbit Ionic after OS 2.0 update

Also using Flex 2

Previous user of Charge 2, Alta, Surge & One

After OS 2.0 update Fitbit Pay no longer working

Fitbit Ionic, 2 cards in Fitbit Pay, Android 6 & Win 10

Looks like the context isn't set correctly for long press of left button

It's still supposed to be the trigger for Wallet but now seems to be assigned 100% to launching Screen Wake/Notifications/Music Controls screens regardless of context

Result - no way to launch Wallet

attempt to use Wallet on Ionic

• click Wallet
• get standard Wallet screen as usual To pay, hold left button from any screen, then place on reader.
• long press - which was the trigger previously - opens the screen for screen wake & notifications
• short press just closes the initial wallet screen & returns me to app icons screen as before 2.0
• right buttons do nothing as before OS 2.0

attempt to update Wallet via Win 10

• click Wallet
• prompt for pin
• after pin entry shows 2 cards that I loaded with old OS
• button says Activate on Ionic
• spinner spins for couple minutes
• get error message Failed to sync card to tracker. If the problem persists you may need to contact support.

attempt to update Wallet via Android 6.0

• click Wallet
• get Fitbit Pay intro screen with Get Started button
• get spinner & Connecting ... message
• sometimes spinner keeps spinning up to 10 minutes
• sometimes get error message Error registering Ionic with Fitbit Wallet Error connection to Ionic. Make sure it is close by and turned on.

When you long press the left button that takes you to the screen wake and notifications screen, are you able to swipe left and right? Fitbit pay should be one of the three screens presented after the long press.

@rachelowlglass, have you checked Fitbit app->apps->My Apps and verified that Wallet is still installed? It may have gotten uninstalled during the upgrade, or need to be re-installed.

SOLVED via Gaby in Fitbit support chat

1. Ionic reboot
2. Resync with phone

Something I didn't mention previously

• turned off BT on Win 10 while trying with Android BT on
• turned off Android BT while trying with Win 10 BT on

After the first sync only had 1 card

1. did another sync via Android
2. swiped to screen on Android displaying secondary card
3. waited for sync

Now both cards are displayed - there is an indicator on the left

Swipe up or down to scroll between cards

NOTE that if you have one card when the card appears you can use it as-is

HOWEVER if you have multiple cards scrolling between cards shows you dim picture of card

You then need to click the desired card ... guessing that's pretty obvious UI but as long as I'm doing blow-by-blow ...
