Losing steps over multiple days

Not sure what's up, but this morning, I was nearing 7,000 steps when the Ionic rolled back to 3,500 steps. I'm familiar with the Fitbit algorithms that decide when some steps are not legitimate, but this is overkill. I wonder if it's tied to the update from yesterday.

Update: And I just checked yesterday's steps. I had over 21,000 steps at the end of the day and I have now lost over 6,000 steps, rolling back to 14,500. There is something seriously wrong here.

Also, looking at my exercises, the day I lost 6,500 steps, the app says I ran 2 miles in 11 hours and burned 11,000 calories.

@Ozyman666 I hope you're doing well! Thank you for reporting this strange situation experienced with Ionic and steps lost.

Are you still experiencing the same?

Just to be clear, are the steps rolling back on your Fitbit app's dashboard or on the Ionic itself?

I'd recommend performing a restart on Ionic. This should help you out with preventing this to keep happening.

Also, try the following:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Reboot your phone.
  • Log back in to the Fitbit app.

Try that out and let me know if the issue persists afterwards.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
