Messages not coming through to watch since firmware update

Hi

I have a pixel 2 with the latest Android version. I update the firmware on my watch last week and have noticed that none of the messages are coming through to the watch like they used to?

They do tend to come through eventually but I noticed its normally as I am replying to the message that I spotted on the phone.

I normally have my phone on silent and use the watch to know if there is a need to get my phone out but now I'm having to keep checking my phone as we cannot have phones going off in the workplace. I keep on missing important messages.

I have tried resyncing the watch but that doesn't seem to have done anything

any ideas?

Since you performed a firmware update, I would like you to try setting them again. If after confirming that you've followed the procedure above, you're still having issues please try this troubleshooting. 

Check this information below if you have your phone in do not disturb, quiet hours, or driving mode: 

1. Tap the Today tab  , and tap your profile picture.
2. Tap Notifications. 
3. In the Vibration Settings section, turn on the Always Vibrate option.
