Is there a way to change the settings from recording in Miles to KM??

yep- if you go to personal settings on the app- where you enter all your information about where you live and all your demographics.

Go to My Account>Advanced Settings>Weight Units and you'll see not only unit settings for weight, but for distance, swim lap length and water consumption as well.

switching length from feet/inches to centimeters should do the trick. i'd have called it imperial and metrical but i guess there's no way to name it so that everyone finds the right option at first sight.
