Music controls not working after update?

before the update i would always get the play controls but not always the artist/song info. now i'm not getting the play controls or the artist/song info. all that works is volume control. anyone else have this issue? anyone else find a solution?

@mitwess I’ve just tried this and have no problems, getting track info and controls. When you long press the left button, swipe to the music controls page (left page of the three) and press the three dots. Then select your phone as the source. The controls and details should then show, as below.

im not getting that. what phone are you using? android version?

I had this issue with my Google Pixel. The issue for me was that in my Pixel app settings I had disabled Fitbit notifications. After turning both notification settings on the music controls have worked great.

I'm having the same problems: no music controls except for volume controls. After holding down the back button and swiping left to music, it says "Start playing music on your phone", and pressing the 3 dots brings me to source options and under the phone option, there's text saying "Audio output is controlled by phone".

I've paired Bluetooth (classic) to my Huawei Honor 8 Android phone, enabled notifications for Spotify and native music player within the Fitbit app. Still doesn't work. PLEASE HELP, SOMEONE.

In the million times I disconnected and reconnected, the music controls appeared for just one brief moment and disappeared again. What am I doing wrong???
