Using my Jabra Pulse Sport the music playback plays for a second cuts out for a second and plays again for another second before repeating the issue.
I have checked the headphones on my phone and they work great.
Is this a compression issue on the songs? the songs are m4a tracks with a bit rate of around 279kbps.
I have seen other people have used the same headphones with no issues, what am I missing? and yes, I have tried resetting everything and switching things off and on and reconnecting but nothing seems to work.
Best AnswerAre you wearing your Fitbit on the wrist opposite to the headphone signal receiver? I was having an issue because my headphones have the receiver on my right ear but I wear my Fitbit on my left wrist. I swapped the earbuds on the headphones so i could switch sides and no longer have an issue with music cutting out.
I have the same exact issue. It’s like the Bluetooth signal isn’t strong enough or something. It only happens when I am connected to the Ionic without the phone. If I am stationary it doesn’t happen either. Only when I begin to run/bike. Would love an explanation.
I wear my watch on the same side as the receiver. I don’t believe it’s my headphones because they’ve worked even when my phone has been over 10 ft away.
Best AnswerI loaded music onto my Ionic tonight. That took a long time to do. I synced it with the Flyer headphones and went for a walk. The music was skipping or cutting in and out occasionally throughout my walk. If I didn't move my arm it was fine, but that's not acceptable with a fitness tracker. Has anybody found a way to stop the music from skipping?

@DianeinMich @JPollard @aac7791 @RandomUser99 I recommend trying out the suggestion shared here. Let me know if that helps.
Try repairing. My airpods did this once...only a clear connection if I held the watch close to my face. I just unpaired and repaired and never had the problem since.
I switched the Ionic to my right arm, so it's on the same side at the Flyer controls. That seems to have fixed the skipping. I haven't actually used it over 30 minutes. So, I'm not sure if I will have that issue. I better start taking longer walks, lol.
I tried reconnected and resetting everything and nothing worked.
In the end I bought a new pair of headphones (Skullcandy Ink'd) and these work perfectly. It might be worth creating a compatibility list for headphones for use with the Ionic.
I had this same issue with my Skullcandy Hesh Wirless. To fix it, I turned the headphones :headphone: off then on and connected it to my Fitbit Ionic. Worked perfectly after that. I just was wondering if you could pair a Bluetooth speaker :speaker_high_volume:?
This problem was discuss in several threads here.
Symptom: Bluetooth headphones pairing works fine and music plays fine when stationary, but when running the music cuts out every couple seconds. The problem goes away when staying still, but starts again when running.
Cause: Bluetooth sender is on one side of the headphones while your Ionic is on the opposite wrist.
Solution: Put Ionic on other wrist.
This immediately solved the problem for me. I will consider a different set of bluetooth headphones because I don't like having my Ionic on me right hand.
I hope this helps.
Not for the Jabra headphones, had to buy a new set of headphones. The new ones worked perfectly before I got fed up with trying to transfer music and went back to using my ipod.

Best AnswerThanks so much! I just had this issue, and this seemed to fix it! Switching wrists is not a big deal for me, seeing as I only connect to my Bluetooth earbuds when I workout. Fitbit should fix this in their next gen of watches. I have a pair of Bose Soundsport free headphones.
Did you have any issues using the firmware update app? My headphones didn't even respond to the app when I tried the firmware update.
I have the same issue I think it is the Bluetooth connection in the ionic. I have bose headphones work great on every other device. If I wear my ionic on my right wrist works fine.... however that is not a perfect solution is it?
