Message in email 1423 that battery was low, missed because I was at a bike trail, last sync noticed in app @ 1609. Returned to home @ 1700 and found the Ionic dead with black screen. It was setup to trace a long (55 km) bike trail and earlier this week I noticed that bike / GPS tracking was consuming a lot of the Ionics power resource.
Have tried charging, cleaning contacts and charging again and finally Reset using buttons and charging once again. The instructions for that is unclear . . .
Main screen at app and Web mentioned waiting softwareupdate but that was new to me now. Have not noticed or triead it out.
Switched to backup Charge 2 but feel very upset and disappointed, did the battery (and Ionic) die because a missed notice ?
The Ionic has worked OK since 2018 . . .

@leifjoha this does happen sometime with the Ionics when the battery discharges too far. In some cases it's pretty much toast, but not all.
Have you tried a different charging lead?
Check your power source is functioning OK.
Make sure the contacts are clean, use isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud, if you can, on the watch and charger.
The small oval groove, that the charging cable locates into, sometimes get clogged up with muck (mine does daily!) So clean it with a folded corner of paper and a dry toothbrush.
Try all of that, if you haven't already, then leave it on charge for a good few hours.
Sometimes this is enough to ensure a good contact for charging from a fully dead battery.
Hope some of these tips help.
