My Ionic’s Touchscreen Isn’t Working

Hello everyone,

Yesterday night the screen of my Fitbit stopped responding to touch. The vibrator and the buttons stopped working and the screen kept freezing and rebooting.

I did use it in the shower ONCE yesterday and for a brief minute or two... but I have done that in the past and the FitBit kept working.

Since yesterday I was able to get the vibrator and buttons working and I was able to unfreeze the screen. I was also able to stop it from rebooting on its own. These things stopped because I kept restarting the FitBit by holding down the three buttons.

However, the touch screen is STILL NOT WORKING and I have restarted the FitBit MULTIPLE TIMES.

I have had many issues with this FitBit and I have had it for TWO YEARS. What a waste of money.

Please, does anyone have any suggestions about how I could fix this? And if not, is there ANY WAY I can use the FitBit only using the buttons??? Thank you.

I was able to get *most* of the functionality back.

I kept on restarting my Ionic using the buttons. I did it over and over again and then factory reset my FitBit with the buttons soon after (which is what customer service told me to do). Fortunately the factory reset didn’t wipe all of my data and it didn’t restore the touch automatically. I waited it out (7 hours surprisingly) and now the screen works in all places except a small part in the middle.
