I am currently going through the process of getting my 5TH !!! replacement fitbit. I am yet to own a fitbit ionic that has even lasted a year. I have been with fitbit for almost 1 year and a half and since have had 5 different replacements. I don't believe this product is fit for purpose, they wouldn't extend my warranty so i therefore want to get a refund and get something else.
Is this possible ?

Hi Ollie
i too have had a similar situation with the Ionic....i am also on my 5th replacement and have lost all confidence in the quality of the ionic watch. i am careful with the watch and treated it nicely but it has got the point where i think i should take it off before doing any sports!!! the Fitbit support are always very helpful and go through the steps but ultimately send me the replacement link which i am again today having to do.... surely there is something more effective than providing me yet another device which is likely to last a small amount of time (based on the history)
regards
Duncan

I feel your pain I was the same I treated mine very well however every replacement went wrong so I was fed up by then and demanded a refund which I managed to get. I then went on to buy the Garmin venu and haven’t had any problems since.
I would recommend demanding a refund and going for a different model or brand like the Garmin venu which is probably the most similar to the ionic.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards Ollie

thanks Ollie good information thank you - i have seriously considered the Garmin and Apple alternatives - shame as the Ionic when it works is a nice watch.

Thanks Ollie - did you purchase it from Fitbit.com or another source? at the moment they don't have the same colour replacement and are offering me alternative colours!! really disappointed with this from such a big company. i even think the ionic may have been withdrawn from their product line so what does that say!! cheers
