My experience with Ionic

I made the worst decision by purchasing this product. The setup never worked and because I came back to the country after warranty period, i received no replacement. I never got to use this product that was $220 and the apps were so limited. More than half the features never worked including the wallet pay at most stores. Even with the music, I paid Spotify premium but never worked on my watch. The Bluetooth sync Didnt work with my headphones either.  So disappointed.

Hi @GoddessNimi  Fitbit customer support is there for everyone. Did you try to get with them before the warranty was over?

Sorry you never got it working, @GoddessNimi.  Do you mean you were out of country during the entire warranty period, and then returned after the warranty expired?

I did call them about the problem. But they told me to try a few things
and get back to them. It still didn’t work after that and then they said
I’d get more support but I didn’t or it may have slipped through the
cracks. I just boxed it and kept it in a storage unit and left after that.
I came back and tried to use it and it still didn't work.

Best,
Nimi

Yes. I came back recently and found it in my stuff and tried to make it
work again. But now it’s out of warranty and I don’t know what to do with
it. The Bluetooth syncing isn’t working. It is still able to do the
tracking and rest of the things but I can’t use it without the syncing.
It’s not useful without it --

Yes it is compatible. I had iphone xs max and iphone X. And it didn’t sync
with my powerbeats either. --

The last remaining Fitbit in our family is now attached to our dogs leash for GPS tracking (practical and fun to log the dogs tracking). We are not bothered with Fitbits wearables anymore and their dangerously faulty heart rate tracking, as mentioned to Fitbit for several years! The entired family have simply converted to Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, which at least offers accurate measures of our activities and a impressive support. Goodbye to Fitbit support - We had enough and finally got rid of the Ionic, Versa 2 and 3 👍

I've seen you write such sentiments on several threads, but I must respectfully disagree; I've had two Ionic trackers (I killed the first one), and they have been pretty rock solid.

Unfortunately the customer service is rudimentary, so raising your concerns in the forum will get you nowhere. If you get too critical they will delete your posts 🙄

They will probably delete this posts, as it is not in their favor.

My review would be simple; never buy any product from Fitbit.

@DonnyHa  everything done on the forums is by the Terms of Service, which we all agreed to abide by when joining up. click to read. I've seen posts where people were very critical of Fitbit, their employees and their products and the posts were not deleted. It's all in how you voice your opinion that makes the difference.

Actually no, Fitbit moderators have been taking down posts that where perfectly courteous. I have several examples of this, as it happens when you get persistent.

Instead of engaging their customers in a constructive dialogue, they just delete the post.

I guess it's just easier than actually fixing the issue at hand.

Its just really, really poor service combined with a flawed product.

Did you find this post to be offensive? Lets see how long it gets to stay posted.

@DonnyHa  Fitbit Moderators are not customer support and they aren't able to fix things. They do, however, keep the forums in order by removing, merging or editing posts where necessary. Engaging in constructive dialogue isn't part of what the moderators do, especially since they have a huge forum to maintain. I'm not sure how this equals poor customer service, when the community forums aren't the same as customer support. I don't find your post offensive, but I'm not the one who would make the decision to remove it.

DonnyHa, I totally agree with you. Several of my attempts to give Fitbit reasonable feedbacks and suggestions how to improve their Ionic, Versa 2 and 3 over the past 4 years has been removed or revoked by them, which seems awkward and extremely neglected. So we simply got tired of Fitbits inability to take us seriously and got rid of their wearables! Customer service is really not their strongest value and will never be. I will be very surprised if Fitbit don't remove this comment as well.

You see my point!? They deleted my response to your post 😅 They dont care about their customers at all, but they have the time to read and delete, that's about the extend og their abillity 😅👌 Why do you support Fitbit so much? I've noticed that you are active in a lot of the forum threads... Why?

Look at Balsams post aswell, and tell me Fitbit doesn't have a problem with their customer service!?

Yes, I purchased one for my wife it included call text sleep record automatically tracked activity exercise and sleep. Now they are asking for money to receive the very thing it supposedly came with when I purchased it. That is clearly a scam from the get go. The company never really supported the watch until they made you sign an agreement saying that they are free and clear of any legal challenges. It was the top of their line of watches at the time. I was suckered in don't be a sucker.
